Cloggs.co.uk Expand Into European Markets
Cloggs.co.uk is looking to expand into the new retail markets within continental Europe.
BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND, August 20, 2011 /Womens Interest PR News/ -- Cloggs.co.uk, the online footwear retailer provides customers within the UK with a selection of fashion footwear from brands such as Converse, Dr Martens and UGG Australia. The company has seen some major success in the past few years. Whilst fighting against large footwear retailers (the likes of Office and Schuh) and a recession that saw many other independent retailers face liquidation Cloggs managed to celebrate their first year as a GBP10m business.
Cloggs' successes were not just seen on the books but also by their competitors within the industry. Cloggs was awarded the Drapers E-tailer of the Year Award 2011 and has been shortlisted for the WorldPay Online Business of the Year.
However, the company is keen to make sure they do not make the same mistakes others have made in the industry and come complacent in their success. Cloggs now has their eye's set on dominating the European market. With a foothold already established in Germany and France Cloggs hopes it will be able to tackle other European countries such as Austria, Spain and Belgium.

The UK market will provide a reasonable base for the company to tackle the European market from, however Scarlett stressed his concern that the company should grow at a healthy rate and not suffer from stretching themselves to thin.
The need for expansion has been fuelled by Decker's Australia allowing Cloggs to begin shipping UGG Australia products to EU, as Cloggs hopes to capatilize on the demand for UGG boots in Germany.
